Dates: During school holidays. Sessions run on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons 1pm -4pm. We are looking for 1 or 2 volunteers for each session.
Purpose: To help young visitors and families get the best out of the craft drop in sessions
Background: Each week there is a different theme of crafty things for young visitors to make.
Activity:
- Helping the young visitors to get crafty using the materials supplied.
- Chatting with the children and their families.
- These are fun filled busy sessions and you may get a little messy.
- Should the fire alarm sound help evacuate the room.
Benefits:
- Gain experience of working within a museum.
- Gain experience working with children.
- This is in addition to the benefits you will receive as being part of our volunteer team.
Skills and Qualities: You do not need any experience, but these can be busy noisy sessions. Patience and a willingness to roll up sleeves and get stuck in is all that is needed. You must be over 16 years old.
