Welcome to Tullie, a home for the eternally curious.

Museum, art gallery, community hub, generally great place. We offer a forward-thinking programme of special exhibitions and events. Proudly caring for an almost 1 million-strong collection of objects that tell the story of Carlisle and Cumbria. While redevelopment work is completed, the museum is currently only partially open for Backing the Blues: 120 Years of Carlisle United.

We had a brief but wonderful visit to Tullie. All, and I mean all of the staff and volunteers were amazing, Informative and really helpful. Thanks to all who made our visit special. We didn't get the opportunity to visit everything but we will be back.

A crackingly good museum with a mixture of local and national displays. The interior is arranged to ceate an experience, not just gazing into display cabinets. [...] We still haven't seen it all. We'll be back.

Very cheap to get in & ticket lasts the whole year; art to local history & artefacts. We just happened to visit when excellent regional artists were exhibiting. Husband accidentally went into cave meant to be for children - we are grown adults & we had fun.
