Come and celebrate the opening of our new exhibitions – A British Museum Partnership Exhibition: Gladiators of Britain and Uncovering Roman Carlisle: Where Worlds Met.

• Come face to face with ‘real life’ Romans! John Sadler and the Time Bandits will be here with their interactive story – Spartacus and the Gladiator Revolt. Catch them 11am, 1pm & 3pm.
• Make your own shield to take into gladiatorial battle – craft drop in between 10am-4pm in City Hall Studio
• Tullie Mouse appearances
• Sapienza University at Tullie: Work on the museum’s archaeological collections – 2pm in the Auditorium. Learn about Tullie’s collaborative research work with the Sapienza University in Rome, which has for the past few years been focused on Tullie’s Roman collections, led by Professor Emanuela Borgia. Free, but booking is essential.
