Tullie Art Group is our accessible, laid-back, free to attend art group that meets on the third Wednesday of every month. We welcome people aged 18 or over of all abilities and support workers are welcome to join in too! It’s a great opportunity to meet like-minded people in a relaxed setting under the guidance of our friendly community team.

Each session has either a guest artist or theme, and we encourage you to come along and try something new.

We provide materials, but please bring your own if you need something specific.

We recommend arriving from 10am for the morning sessions and 1pm for the afternoon session so there’s plenty of time to grab a cuppa and settle in. (please note, the afternoon session is a repeat of the morning session).

Tullie Art Group is incredibly popular, so booking is essential. Sessions are bookable on a month-by-month basis. If you have any trouble booking online, call our main reception on 01228 618718, they’ll be happy to book a place for you if there are any remaining. • Wednesday 19 August 2026: Memories of being the Ocean with Artist Dani Münz.
  Dani gives us insight into her latest commission for Tullie: Memories of being the Ocean. you’ll have the chance to adapt copies of the work and add your own expressive and creative flair with mixed media. Please note that this session involves nudity depicted in artwork. Please email community@tullie.org.uk if you would like to address any concerns. • Wednesday 16 September 2026: Artist led session with Ellie Davies. Artist led session with Ellie Davies – create your own mythological animal. Join us for an artist led session that focuses on letting your imagination and creativity bloom. with the opportunity to choose your preferred medium, you’ll leave the session with your own original mythological animal and an understanding of the role such creatures play in the art world.   Artist led session with Laura Rutter – take a look around the new Picturing Place exhibition with artist Laura Rutter as she guides you through an adapted urban sketching experience like no other.

• Wednesday 16^th December
  Repeating pattern printed paper – we’ll show you a really simple way to create your own rubber stamp and use it to create some bespoke gift wrap.
