National Saturday Club

The National Saturday Club Art & Design programme offers 13–16-year-olds a 15-week, hands-on introduction to creative disciplines, combining practical workshops, skill development, and exposure to higher education at the University of Cumbria’s Brampton Road Arts Campus.

Partnering with Tullie, the programme will utilise the museum’s experienced facilitators, collections and exhibitions to inspire young artists to create their own artwork.

Participants gain technical skills, creative confidence, and a sense of belonging while exploring their own interests and developing producing work through workshops, masterclasses with industry professionals, and collaborative learning.

The museum’s support provides a unique, real-world context for artistic exploration, enhances accessibility to cultural resources, and enables young people to exhibit their work publicly at the National Saturday Club Summer 2026 show.
