Ice Ice Baby

This co-curated ‘anti-festive’ event created a welcoming space for queer people to come together during a time of year that can often feel isolating. By combining life-drawing, a family film, creative gift-making and comfort food – the event encouraged both artistic expression and social connection. Collaborating with Queer Cumbria ensured the event was safe, inclusive, and celebratory, providing participants with meaningful engagement and a sense of belonging during the holidays.

Put a Bonnet Onnit Spring Equinox

Celebrating the lighter days ahead, this event invited participants to explore creativity through bonnet making, altar creation, music and photoshoot. The collaboration allowed for playful, hands-on engagement while connecting participants to seasonal rituals and self- expression. It offered a

space to reflect, experiment, and share joy, highlighting the value of creative community projects in promoting wellbeing and social cohesion.

Pride Outside

This outdoor festival produced by the Tullie Young Producer group brought together queer creatives, and younger community members to celebrate identity, connection, and the freedom of expression in a safe, inclusive environment. By offering affirmative and mindful activities in a natural setting, the event provided relaxation, solidarity and peace.

Queer Cumbria and I personally are so grateful to Tullie for their ongoing collaboration and support. Working on the Pride event was an amazing opportunity to bring small grassroots groups like ours under the umbrella of an NPO for important community arts delivery. These events not only help us support young creatives but also help foster greater community cohesion and understanding.

The day was an excellent opportunity to come together and celebrate the diversity in our communities and to strengthen working relationships between all our organisations.

For us, Tullie is a brilliant example of how NPOs should operate at a grassroots level.

Personally it has supported my DYCP project and been hugely beneficial in developing my creative producer work.’
