Prism 2025: An exploration of surface and self
In July 2025, we welcomed Prism Arts for a week-long exhibition showcasing the work of talented local artists.
Prism Arts are a Cumbrian arts organisation and progressive studio established in 1987 to champion the work of learning disabled and neurodivergent artists and performers. Prism continues to evolve, and the exhibition presented bold, inclusive work that reflects the world we live in now.
The exhibition featured large-scale paintings, digital work, ceramics and 3D forms with the artwork being displayed in the recently refurbished Welcome Space, the gardens and the Auditorium. Whilst the indoor artwork was on display between 7-13 July, the garden exhibition remained in place until January 2026.
Alongside the exhibition, Prism Arts artists held a residency at Tullie, taking over the City Hall Studio for daily art classes and sessions.
The collaboration was a huge success, culminating in a celebratory ‘open evening’ for the artists to showcase their work.
Prism Arts will be hosting another exhibition at Tullie in Summer 2026.
