A new business address with Tullie as your front door
Flexible commercial spaces within Tullie’s restored buildings at 6–16 Castle Street.
Dye Works is part of Tullie: a new extension of the museum’s footprint on Castle Street, connected to the Tullie Welcome Space and bringing historic buildings back into active use.
For businesses, that means more than simply hiring a room. Your meeting, working day or office base sits within a cultural destination, with access to museum galleries and gardens, Café Tullie and Tullie Shop.
Castle Street has been a working street for centuries. The faded ‘DYE WORKS’ lettering on 6–8 Castle Street is linked to William Brown, who ran a silk, woollen and cotton dyeing and cleaning business here from the 1850s.
Tullie acquired 6–16 Castle Street in December 2022 after the buildings had stood unused for more than 15 years. Through Project Tullie they have been repaired, upgraded and reconnected with the museum as spaces for community activity, meetings, collaboration and business.
