We’ve missed you! But we hope to see you soon – we’re mega excited to bring a Pop-up Museum to The Lanes in the Easter holidays.
From 8-13 April, you can catch us in The Lanes Pop-up (right next to Primark) with a range of museum-y activities for kids and adults.
Members of Team Tullie will be in the pop up 9.30am-4.30pm Monday-Saturday. As with our regular craft sessions when the museum is open, 1-4pm each day will be devoted to drop in family activity.
Drop-in family activities are:
- Monday 8 April – Tullie Mouse Crafts
- Tuesday 9 April – Roman Dig
- Wednesday 10 April – Historical Character Drawing
- Thursday 11 April – Victorian Selfies + Mystery Objects
- Friday 12 April – Tullie Patterns
- Saturday 13 April – Cardboard Museum Making (all day)
We’ll also have the chance to meet some curators with objects from the collections (all 10am-12pm):
- Tuesday 9 April – Natural Science
- Wednesday 10 April – Costume
- Thursday 11 April – Human History
On the morning of Friday 12 April, there’ll be chance to learn more about our exciting Carlisle United project. We’ll even be joined by CUFC players Callum Guy and Josh Vela from 9.45-10.30am.
On all days you can:
- Make your own stickers to stick on a big Tullie ‘T’ as part of a collaborative artwork.
- Decorate our own Tullie ‘T’
- Do the Tullie Mouse trail through the city centre (there will be prizes)
- Chat to staff to learn more about the redevelopment work at the museum
All of these will be absolutely free. We’ll also have a pop-up shop with Tullie goodies for sale. More details coming soon plus some guest appearances at other venues in the first week of the holidays.
