Event Details

A special touring exhibition organised by Insight UK. “Darshana” means “glimpse” in Sanskrit, and so the exhibition was designed to offer a glimpse into the rich heritage and contributions of the Hindu civilisation – one of the oldest continuous cultures in the world.

The exhibition will be open to the public for one day only on Sunday 22 March from 11am-4pm in Tullie’s City Hall Studio. Entry is completely free and does not require museum admission. The day will begin with a special inauguration by Cumbria Hindu Association. Afterwards there will be the opportunity to speak to people from Cumbria Hindu Association to learn more about the exhibition and its themes, and a creative activity making art inspired by the work of Bharti Kher.

Organisers hope the exhibition will provide a valuable opportunity for people across Cumbria to learn more about Hindu Dharma while celebrating the diversity of faith and culture in the region.
